P...............PIZZA............................A

9:27 PM

It seems we haven't got off the cooking spree we began last week, with Habeebe Home Schooling, Cooking themed challenge. :-)

My little princess has been asking to make pizza for awhile, and I was not able to add it into my cooking menu for last week, so today I surprised by saying we were going to make pizza, and she was really happy. Pizza IS one of her favorite MEAL. And when I mean it a meal, yes I try to make it nutritious and rich. As everything is home made (nearly :-)) from the base to the topping.

So here goes our ingredients for the Pizza.

For the base:

2 1/2 cup Flour No 2 (Wheat flour that contains fine bran, which adds delicious and special taste to recipes).
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp Instant yeast
1 tbsp Olive oil
Luke warm water

Knead all the ingeredients together till is soft and slightly sticky. Add little oil on top and knead little bit and leave it draught-free place till the dough doubles in size.

For the sauce:
1/4 cup diced onions
2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 cup tomato juice
Olive oil
salt, black pepper & oregano for seasoning.

Heat oil, add in the garlic, stir for awhile till its aroma comes out then add in the diced onions, stir until soft and lightly brown. Add the tomato juice, paste and ketchup. Leave it on low heat till the sauce thickens. Finally add in the seasoning and turn off the heat.

For the topping (you can have anything of your choice) my princess favourites are
Capsicum
Mushrooms
Olives
Corn
and Of course lots of Cheese.
I sometimes add chicken, tuna or beeffor extra flavouring but the top 3 is always there.

Pre heat oven to 180 degrees. Spread the base onto a slightly greased tray or pan.

First goes the cheese, then the pizza sauce, followed by your toppings then another layer of cheese, drizzling of olive oil.

And finally oregano and pepper.

Off into the oven for nearly 40 to 45 mins. This is one of her favourite recipe's and she loves to make it too, and my princess's verdict for it, "Yummy, its tasty". :-).

Hope you like it too, do let us know if you tried it out, and if so how did it turn out would love to hear from you.
