Altered Chocolate Box

9:12 AM

I had this cute little heart shaped chocolate box, I just couldn't part away with once all the goodies were gone from it. As you may I am a recycle junkie and I keep every single package box hoping it can turn into one beautiful art piece.
This heart shaped box was pretty baby pink in color and I had the perfect matching color in my Martha Stewart acrylic paints collection I had bought while on my holiday in Qatar. Wherever I go I need to get art and craft supplies that I have seriously turned into craft items hoarder.
I couldn't take snaps for all the steps of my work, The top of the box was left intact no paintings were adhered onto it, the sides, inside and the bottom of the box were painted. The poodle skirt pink from Martha Stewart acrylic high gloss collection was perfect fit for the box.

Decoupaged the inside of the box with beautiful Victoria style tissues I had got from IKEA. Yes, IKEA has got lot of beautiful tissue prints in there that they keep on updating every now and then.

Quilled few flowers in crimson and purple using grape roll technique added few leaves here and there using green strips.
Using my bigshot and label 6 dies from Spellbinders I cut out few label and embossed them using Spellbinders Paisley M-Bossabilities folder. Cut out few flourishes using Sizzlits flourishes. Arranged them altogether till I was happy with it.

As you can see the top cover of the box was left as it is, I covered the printed part using the embellishments and creations I've made so everything is aligned together.

How was it? Did you like it? Please let me know if it has inspired you to be creative do let know, would like to see your fabulous creation. Till next time!

  1. This is beautiful! I'm not much of a crafter, although, I have tried making things several times and they ended up looking horrible. My creativity is in knitting. Thank you for sharing with Thankful Thursdays.

    1. Thank you Lori. For me paper crafting has been a passion since I was a kid. and I get lost doing it for hours. Knitting is one craft have not tried out although I love how intricate the designs come out love to try it out someday.
